A Morning Rainbow from Deck

Enjoy an exciting takeoff from bustling Ketchikan as you embark on a scenic flight through the Tongass National Forest and some of Alaska's most spectacular scenery. You will glide through majestic fjords, cascading waterfalls, jewel-like lakes, and the home of abundant wildlife. This vast untouched wilderness was first identified in the journals of early explorer, Captain George Vancouver, when exploring Alaska in 1793.

At Humpback Lake, you will fully appreciate the dramatic beauty of a land slowly crafted by the hands of nature over tens of thousands of years. Massive glacial action carved this ice-rimmed wilderness. Marvel at sheer walls of granite and huge stands of lush spruce, hemlock and cedar clinging to snowcapped peaks in this land of incredible natural beauty and rugged grandeur.

The Misty Fjords is one of America's greatest treasures, and at 2.3 million acres, is nearly four times the size of Rhode Island. The beautifully rugged terrain, like nowhere else on earth, is home to hearty mountain goat, wolf, wolverine, bald eagles, and ptarmigan. In addition to the land animals, many birds and fish reside at Humpback lake within in steps of the Humpback Lake Chalet.  This piece of paradise can be yours for a few days and can be envisioned on the following pages….
